What is contour makeup?
Contouring is one of the modern methods of makeup that has appeared recently, and all girls and women want to apply it, as it works to bring about changes in the shape of the face and makes the skin appear better.
It helps hide some skin defects, by (lightening the prominent areas of the face) (and making the sunken areas darker).
How to do contour makeup: (Highlight explanation in No. 7)
1- It is important to choose the foundation and contour cream.
The important thing is to be careful to choose a foundation color that matches your skin tone, so that it is only one shade lighter than your skin tone. You should also choose contour colors between light and dark colors, as you will blend them together. You should also prepare a sponge designated for contouring, which is available in all cosmetic stores.
You should distribute the foundation on all of your skin, and then use the contour as follows:
1- If you suffer from a wide forehead , you can use dark contour in this area from above to work on reducing it.
2- You should identify the sunken areas on the face and apply dark contour to them.
3- If you have a long nose, you can define the nose using dark contour on the edge of the nose. If the nose is small, you can work on placing a line of contour from the nose and reaching the eyebrow in a dark color as well.
4- To reduce the chin area and slim the face, you can apply dark contour on the sides of the face and under the chin.
5- Apply the light contour to the rest of the prominent areas of the face.
6- To blend the contour, you must use the special sponge called the Beauty Blender. You must use it from the round side by pressing on all areas of the face with light circular motions until it blends completely.
7- After finishing the contouring, you can apply the highlighter to the prominent areas, which give light to the face after applying the contour. You can apply it to the nose, middle of the forehead and chin. You can also apply it to the cheekbones and press it gently using a sponge, or you can use a special brush.
